Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) is organizing multipurpose mega camps for the convenience of consumers all over the state.
UPCL Managing Director Anil Yadav has instructed all the officials to give priority to the consumers and achieve 100 percent revenue.
The Managing Director also instructed the senior officers to personally attend the camps being organized at the subdivision level from time to time and monitor the progress and ensure that issues like new electricity connections, resolution of problems related to metering and billing etc. are resolved on priority basis in the camps.
Yadav directed all the Directors and all the officers under them in the meeting to achieve 100 percent revenue as per the targets.
Under the new directions issued by Yadav, all the officers at block-level have been told to achieve 100 percent recovery as per the revenue target and to organize mega camps in all the subdivisions and publicize them.
All the divisions were directed to issue notices against the connections with outstanding amount and also to recover the previous dues.
Except in unavoidable circumstances, all the officers will ensure the action of revenue recovery by being present in their respective headquarters and the divisions, divisions and sub-divisions with better performance will be felicitated.
The new directions states that the benefit of online services provided by UPCL should be available to maximum number of consumers, the revenue obtained through online medium should be increased, establish better connectivity with consumers and make bills available to consumers through SMS. All the field officers will launch a comprehensive campaign to collect the mobile numbers of all the electricity consumers in their areas and ensure that the mobile numbers of the consumers are registered in the system.
