UJVN Ltd, a state government run energy company in Uttarakhand, has generated a record 721.188 million units of power in the month of September, a statement said on Tuesday.
“September 2024 has proved to be a great month for UJVN Limited. On the strength of its excellent action plan, the company has generated record electricity in the month of September,” UJVN Ltd Managing Director Sandeep Singhal said.
He said the projects of UJVN generated 721.188 million units of electricity in September 2024, which is the highest electricity generation in this particular month since its inception.
Earlier, the highest electricity generation in the month of September was 706.080 million units, which was done in September last year.
Singhal said due to better maintenance and robust action plan, the availability of machines in the month of September was 90 percent, which helped in generating more power.
In the month of September, UJVN’s Chhibro, Khodri, Dhalipur, Kulhal, Tiloth, Dharasu, Cheela, Vyasi and Galogi power houses have generated more power than the target set for the month. Nearly 3425.885 million units of electricity have been generated by these projects so far in the financial year 2023-24, which is 151.566 million units more than 3274.319 million units during this period last year.
Singhal expressed happiness over the achievement of the power houses of the corporation and said that this record production has been possible only due to the excellent work culture of the UJVNL employees.

Khodri – 60.947 million units
Dhakrani – 13.093 million units
Dhalipur – 34.921 million units
Kulhal – 20.285 million units
Vyasi – 76.507 million units
Maneri Bhali I (Tiloth) – 65.940 million units
Maneri Bhali-II (Dharasu) – 199.469 million units
Chila – 77.922 million units
Khatima – 21.230 million units
Pathri – 6.998 million units
Mohammadpur – 3.119 million units
Galogi – 1.038 million units
Dunav – 0.395 million units
Pilangad – 0.360 million units
Uragam – 0.004 million units
