Award to UJVN in category “Excellence for Institutional Initiative in Dam Safety”

UJVN Limited has been awarded the prestigious Water Digest World Water Award 2024-25 for its outstanding contribution in water resource conservation and management.
This award has been given for the excellent work done for the safety and rehabilitation of dams and barrages under the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement of the project operated with the assistance of Central Water Commission (CWC) and the World Bank.
The award was given to UJVN Ltd in the category of “Excellence for Institutional Initiative in Dam Safety” by Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhushan Chaudhary at a function organized in New Delhi, said Dr Sandeep Singhal, Managing Director of UJVN Ltd.
The UJVN Ltd is operating hydropower projects with a capacity of 1440.60 MW. Extensive efforts are being made by UJVNL to increase the life span of these dams and ensure their safety.
Dr Singhal expressed happiness on receiving the award and attributed it to the excellent work culture of the Corporation and dedication of the employees. He expressed hope that the Corporation will continue to work with the same commitment in future as well and will keep bringing laurels to the state and the country.
