Two minor girls, who were missing from Dehradun, were found in Rajpura area in Punjab on Tuesday, police said.
Acting on a complaint that two minor girls from Vikasnagar area in Dehradun were missing since Jan 2, a case was registered under section 137(2) BNS.
In view of the seriousness of the case, Ajai Singh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun issued necessary instructions for the safe recovery of the two minors.
With the help of the location obtained from surveillance, both the girls were recovered from Rajpura (Punjab) bus stand.
The two girls later told the police that they had run away from their home on their own to meet a friend through the online free fire game.
They denied any kind of criminal activity. Later the two girls were safely handed over to their family members.
