Two 17 year old boys were killed and five injured when a high speed car in which they were travelling in met with an accident at Doiwala area in Dehradun late last night, police said.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the accident occurred due to rash driving as the Honda Amaze car was at very high speed near Kurkawala bridge in the area, police said.  “We think that the driver must have lost control over the steering as the car was in a very high speed,” a police official said.

Both the boys, who received grievous injuries, were rushed to nearby Jollygrant Hospital where they were declared dead. The injured are also being treated in the hospital.

After the postmortem, the bodies of the two boys were handed over to their families. The deceased have been identified as Yash (17) and Rishabh (17) of Bhavwala near Prem Nagar in Dehradun.
