An SDRF team on Monday rescued three trekkers from Rajasthan following a forest fire near Deveriyataal-Chopta trek in Garhwal region in Uttarakhand.
The SDRF team trekked nearly 8 kms to bring a trekker who had apparently lost his way in view of the forest fire. The trekker identified as Adhiraj Chauhan (21) who hails from Udaipur in Rajasthan was brought on stretcher as he was injured.
Efforts are on to bring the other two trekkers, who are safe in the jungles. One more team from Sonprayag area has been sent to bring the two trekkers safely, a police official said.
