It seems road accidents are becoming unstoppable in Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand, as one more accident occurred and three lives were lost.
In the latest accident, three young men were killed when the bike which the three people were riding collided with a divider apparently due to rash driving on Wednesday. Within few hours, all the three died in hospitals. The three belong to Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Two of those killed were agniveers in the Indian army.
The accident came less than one month after a speeding Mercedes mowed down four people, who were working as labourers, in Rajpur area of Dehradun on March 13. All the four died on the spot.
In a previous tragic accident in November last, six people including three boys and three girls were killed and one injured when their speeding car rammed into a container at ONGC Chowk in Dehradun city. The accident was so horrific that all the six youths, hailing from Dehradun, died on the spot and the car was reduced to a mangled heap.
