A temple similar to the architecture of the famous Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand will be built in Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister performed the bhoomi pujan of the new temple at in Burari area in Delhi and also laid its foundation stone.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said the construction of Baba Kedar’s temple in Delhi will fulfill the wishes of all Hindu devotees. “Burari area is mentioned in our religious books. This area is also associated with the Mahabharata period. Baba Kedarnath ji’s Dham, the original identity of Uttarakhand and Sanatan Dharam will become a modern symbol of the rich culture and Hindus,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the flag of Sanatan Dharam is fluttering all over the world. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the constructions of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the grand Kashi Corridor, the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya have taken place, he said. “This period is the period of revival of the Sanatan Dharam. Today, guests coming from abroad are welcomed by presenting them copies of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita,” he said.
Union Minister of State for Road and Transport Ajay Tamta along with various top seers was also present on the occasion.
