Tanya Chauhan is still dazed and in unconscious stage at the Doon hospital in Dehradun a day after doctors removed a bullet from her head, police said on Wednesday.
Tanya was found lying in an unconscious condition at Thano Road area in Dehradun on Saturday. She was rushed to the government Doon hospital where doctors removed a bullet from her head on Tuesday.
Tanya Chauhan was identified by her sister Kavya when she saw her pictures on social media.
Tanya, who was from Jawalapur locality in Haridwar, was married to Shubham Dayal in Sonipat in Haryana. “This matter is under investigation,” said a police official. A police team will be sent to Sonipat for further investigations. Tanya is not in a position to record her statement.
Preliminary police inquiries revealed that Tanya’s husband and father in law were missing from their Sonipat home since last year. The family members are also involved in a property dispute. The mobile phones of Tanya’s husband and father in law are switched off. “We don’t have full details. We will let you know after thorough investigation,” said the SO Raipur Police station. Ends
