Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his Mumbai’s Bandra residence early on Thursday.
Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and two children were safe.
The incident, which occurred around 0230 hours, left the actor injured. Saif is currently undergoing medical treatment at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring his condition.
An intruder reportedly entered Saif’s residence and engaged in an argument with a household staff member. When Saif intervened, the assailant attacked him with a knife before fleeing the scene. The Mumbai Police are investigating the matter, with a parallel probe being conducted by the crime branch.
“We are investigating the attack on Saif from different angles,” a top police official said. Initial investigations revealed that the intruder might be a thief. “It can be a burglary attempt also,” the police official stated.
