Raksha Bandhan is a festival of emotional security, brotherhood: Prof Dangwal

In the Raksha Bandhan program organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Doon University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Surekha Dangwal on Saturday tied a Raksha Sutra to the cleaning staff and gardeners of the university and gave the message of emotional security and brotherhood.

Addressing the employees present on this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that our festivals and celebrations give us the message of brotherhood and social harmony. The festival of Raksha Bandhan not only expresses the unbreakable relationship between brother and sister, but it is also a message of emotional security towards each other in the society. The University is our family and all the employees working here contribute to the development of the University according to their capacity, so it is necessary that we all understand each other’s feelings, respect them and perform our work with full dedication and commitment keeping in mind the interests of the students.

On this occasion, more than 50 employees including sweepers and gardeners of the university were present. In the program, Coordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Prof. H.C. Purohit said that this is a unique initiative, due to which every working employee will be emotionally active towards the work of the University and will perform their work in a better manner and the University will move towards excellence.

On this occasion, Registrar Dr. M.S. Mandrawal, Dean of School of Environment and Natural Resources Prof. S.S. Suthar, Divendu Rawat, Shubham Nautiyal, Shilpi Tiwari, Abhinav Joshi, Pallavi Bisht, M.N. Chamoli, Bhupal Singh Aswal, Tajwar Gusai, Dharmendra, Trilok etc. was also present.
