Hindustani vocalist Pratyush Gupta on Friday launched his book ‘Master of the 7 Swars’: A magical pop-up book on Indian classical music” at Natraj Bookshop in Dehradun.
“The seven Swars – Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha and Ni were born from the Sounds of animals, each with its own mood and colour,” says Gupta.
This book is an immersive learning adventure that ignites young minds with the magic of music, he avers. He said the book is a beautiful and thoughtful initiative to introduce Indian music to kids and youngsters.

Gupta while speaking after the release said an effort must be made to inculcate love for music among the young. Without music, without harmony, without love, life is nothing, he added.
