One person was killed and two were injured in a firing by some gangsters at Dobhalwala Chowk in Dehradun on Sunday night, police said on Monday.

Deepak Badola was killed in the firing and his body was recovered on Monday morning from a nullah at Dobhalwala. The other two injured were getting medical treatment in a hospital.

Three persons have been arrested so far. The police has launched a massive manhunt to nab other two gangsters involved in the crime.

Giving details, a police statement said information was received through control room that there was an incident of firing at Dobhal Chowk, in which 2-3 people were injured and the gangsters fled after the firing in a vehicle. Immediately, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun Ajai Singh issued necessary instructions for the arrest of the accused.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the gangsters fired at three persons in a matter related to a Tata Storm vehicle.

Three arrested in the case are:

1- Devendra Kumar alias Sonu Bhardwaj son of Inder Kumar Sharma resident of Garhwali Colony, Raipur, Dehradun.

2- Monu Bhardwaj son of Inder Kumar Sharma resident of Garhwali Colony Raipur Dehradun.

3- Sagar Yadav alias Shambhu Yadav son of Dinesh Yadav resident of Nehru village Raipur Dehradun.
