A day after the controversy over the landing permission to his helicopter, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday slammed the Modi and BJP governments for creating hurdles in the rallies and marches of Congress parties in Assam and Uttarakhand.
Speaking at a rally in Dehradun, Kharge apologized for coming late claiming that he has to take four permissions from the Modi government for coming to Dehradun. Similarly, he accused the BJP government in Assam for creating hurdles in the nyay yatra of party leader Rahul Gandhi.
Kharge claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to become the 11th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. “He (Modi) is on his way to become incarnation of Lord Vishnu,” Kharge claimed.
Kharge also said the question is being asked to Congress what it achieved in its 70 years of rule in India. “Modi ji you have become Prime Minister because we managed to safeguard our democracy, constitution and India in all those 70 years. Otherwise, you would have been selling tea only. I perhaps doing the job of labourer in our fields,” Kharge said. “Do you think we are here to broom only,” Kharge asked.
He said all the big PSUs and dams were built by late Jawaharlal Nehru. Be it ONGC or BHEL, all the big PSUs were built during the time of Nehru, he said.
He claimed that Modi is having sleepless nights because of the fear of Rahul Gandhi these days. Earlier, he used to see dreams of Jawharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
In the Ankita Bhandari case, Kharge alleged that some BJP leaders are involved.
He appealed to the people to dislodge the BJP government in the state. “If you are not doing it, you will continue to suffer the atrocities,” Kharge said.
