India wins Perth test by 295 runs

India on Monday scored an emphatic 295 runs victory against Australia in the first cricket Test match at Perth.

Chasing an imposing target of 534 runs in the second innings, Aussies were bundled out for 238 runs with Travis Head contributing vital 89 runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd Siraj were star bowlers from the Indian side to take three wickets each.

The match remained under intense speculation after India could score only 150 runs in the first inning. However, India took the command and pinned down Australia for 104 runs in the first innings to take 45 runs vital lead.

In the second innings, Indian batters especially Yashasvi Jaiswal (161) and Virat Kohli (100) aggressively strengthened the Indian second inning (487/6 dec) to set the huge target of 534 runs for Australia which looked almost impossible.

Till the draw of stumps on Sunday, Australia had already lost vital three wickets for only 12 runs.
