At the age of 90, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Maj Gen (retd) B C Khanduri is responding very well following a successful brain surgery, renowned neurosurgeon Dr Mahesh Kuriyal said on Monday.
Gen Khanduri had undergone a major brain surgery at Dehradun-based CMI hospital on Sunday following a paralysis attack, Dr Kuriyal, who performed the surgery, said.
“After the surgery, he (Gen Khanduri) is responding well. His right side was paralyzed. His eyes are also responding. Hopefully, he should improve further. He is out of ICU now,” said Dr Kuriyal. Considering the age of Gen Khanduri, the surgery was successful, Dr Kuriyal said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami went to CMI hospital to enquire the health of Gen Khanduri, whose daughter Ritu Khanduri is Speaker Vidhan Sabha. Dhami also prayed to Baba Kedar for the fast recovery of Gen Khanduri.
