Four youths killed in accidents in Dehradun

Bikes were in high speed in both accidents

Four youths were killed in two different accidents in Dehradun on Friday, police said.

Two youths were killed and one injured when their bike hit a speeding dumper near Dat Kali Devi Mandir area.

The deceased have been identified as Ayush Rawat (21) and Himanshu Thapa (23) (both residents of Selaquie area in Dehradun).

Preliminary investigations revealed that both the bike and the dumper drivers were driving fast when the accident occurred. Three persons were travelling on the bike when the accident took place.

The injured Prashant Kumar (22) has been taken to a hospital. After the postmortem, two bodies were handed over to the family members.

In another accident, two youths were killed when the bike on which they were riding hit the side of Balliwala flyover at high speed. Immediately after the accident, the two youths were rushed to hospitals where doctors declared them brought dead.

The two youths have been identified as Divyanshu Kathait (22) and Ritik Gairola (23) (both natives of Rudraprayag district). They were living in Dehradun in a rented accommodation for studies purposes.
