In a hit and run case, four people were killed and two injured after being hit by a speeding Mercedes car at Rajpur Road in Dehradun on Wednesday night, a top police official said.
After hitting the pedestrians, the car sped away from the scene of the accident. All the six were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals where the four were declared brought dead.
The two victims have been identified so far. They are Mansharam (30) and Ranjit (35), who belong to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The two were working as labourers in Dehradun.
The car bearing a Chandigarh registration no is still untraceable. SSP Dehradun Ajai Singh said a manhunt has been launched to trace the car. “We have alerted our policemen and a search is on,” Singh said.
