Dehradun records season’s max 43 C

The heat wave conditions were back as Dehradun on Wednesday recorded 43 degree C which was the maximum in this summer season.

“Today’s temperature (43) was the maximum of this season,” said Bikram Singh Director Met Dehradun. The maximum temperature of 43 was a departure of 7.2 degree C from the normal. The minimum temp was 24.4.  The previous record of maximum temperature was 43.1 in 2012 in Dehradun.

However, the severe heat wave conditions are likely to reduce from Thursday with the met department predicting rains in parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir.
