Conference on Ai, sustainability, innovation begins in IMS Unison varsity

A two-day conference on “Confluence of AI, Sustainability, and Innovation in the Industry 5.0 Era” began on Friday. This two-day conference is being held under the esteemed patronage of Amit Agrawal, President, Board of Governors, IMS Unison University, and Prof. Anil SubbaRao Paila, Vice Chancellor of IMS Unison University. The School of Management at IMS Unison University, in collaboration with Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan has organized the conference.

The key highlight of day one of the conference was the proposal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IMS Unison University, Dehradun, India, and Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan. Both institutes are involved in ongoing discussions as this agreement will set forth the framework for collaboration between the two institutions to promote academic excellence, faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and professional development initiatives.

In his address, Prof. Paila, said “the event will provide a unique opportunity for participants to engage with industry experts, share best practices, and drive transformative change in the evolving landscape of AI, sustainability, and Industry 5.0. It is a proud moment for us to facilitate an environment of collaboration and innovation.”

The conference brought together industry leaders, academicians, and researchers to discuss “Accelerating Business Excellence through AI & Sustainable Innovation.” Distinguished speakers included Dr. Saksham Khandelwal, Director and Head of Strategy Wipro, Prof. Pooran Chandra Pande, South Asian University, New Delhi, Ms. Nitu Agarwal Chief Financial Officer Fiserv Global Services, Dr. Nandeesh V Hiremath Professor and Director, Kirloskar Institute of Management Harihar, Karnataka.

The event was convened by Dr. Sneha Badola, Dr. Garima Saxena, and Dr. Priyanka Chopra under the guidance of Professor Rajeev Srivastava, Dean, School of Management, IMS Unison University. The conference marked a significant milestone in the journey toward a sustainable, innovative and AI-driven future in the era of Industry 5.0.
