Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said his government would start the winter Chardham yatra from Ukhimath in Rudraprayag district tomorrow.
“We will start the winter Chardham yatra from Kedar on Sunday,” the Chief Minister said after he reached Onkareshwar temple in Ukhimath to offer prayers.
The Chief Minister said the necessary instructions have already been issued to the government officials regarding the winter chardham yatra. All the arrangements for the winter chardham are being finalized, he said. He said a high level meeting would also be convened to review these arrangements for the winter chardham yatra.
Earlier in the day, the CM Dhami offered prayers at the Onkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, which is the wintery sojourn of the Kedarnath. He also participated in the Pandav dance which was performed on the occasion. (see pix)
