Class VII student drowns in Mussoorie boarding school

A 13 year old boy studying in Wynberg-Allen School, a boarding school in the hill resort of Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, died on Monday after drowning in its swimming pool.

According to the police, the incident took place in the morning when Saksham Sehrawat, who was studying in class VII, fainted when he was practicing swimming in the pool.

The school staff immediately rushed the boy to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The police said the family members of Saksham, who live in Sainik Farm, New Delhi, have reached Mussoorie. A post-mortem of the body was conducted following which it was handed over to the family. The police is investigating the case.
