One child was swept away and other saved in the flooded Rispana river this afternoon following heavy rains In and around Dehradun this afternoon.
Ibrahim (8) who had come to his maternal grandfather’s house in Sanjay Colony in Dehradun on the banks of the river was playing when suddenly his ball fell into the swollen river. As Ibrahim tried to pick up the ball, he lost balance and fell into the river.
Police is looking for his body at different areas in the river.
Meanwhile, one more child was saved when he accidently fell into the river. However, some alert people saved the child.
Senior Congress leader Rajkumar, visited Sanjay Colony, and said he has asked the government to erect fencing along the river.
