workshop on women empowerment organized by Udayan Care

Prominent speakers on Sunday called for the women empowerment through education in the country saying they can achieve big goals by adopting right approach.
Speaking at a workshop, Deputy Director Homeopathy Department, Uttarakhand Dr. Pamita Uniyal said women can achieve big goals by adopting right way and right thinking approach. Dr Unniyal said every woman has many qualities and it all depends how she improves on the basis of these qualities and move forward.
The workshop on women empowerment was organized by Udayan Care, a social organization under Udayan Shalini Fellowship, Dehradun Chapter. The girl students and their mothers benefited under Udayan Shalini Fellowship participated in the workshop.
Dr Unniyal said that every woman gets opportunities in life but only with the help of right time, right way and right thinking. By adopting this approach, they can achieve a big goal, she said.
Deputy Commissioner of Taxes Manisha Saini, in her address, encouraged the girl students for career growth and said that despite limited resources, they can achieve their destination with hard work and determination.
Kunwar Raj Asthan, while thanking Udayan Care organization for doing excellent work for the girl students in the state, told the students that they will have to further increase their curiosity and imagination and try to realize their dreams on the basis of that.
Udayan Care is a Delhi based registered trust which has been working for more than 25 years in various fields. This organization is especially working in the field of girls’ education.
Vimal Dabral, Convenor of Dehradun Chapter of Udayan Shalini, said that under Udayan Shalini Fellowship, every month scholarship is provided to the economically weak but educationally promising girl students of the society for two to six years starting from class eleven for future educational support. Besides, schemes for their personality development and career growth are also being run. For this, girl students studying in class XI in government and aided schools are selected for scholarship after written examination, interview, home visit etc.
About a hundred participants including Udayan Care’s coordinators Varuna and Farha along with Swati Kamboj, Saloni Rana, Kajal, Saba, Nandini, Anushka and their mothers and their mothers participated in the program.
