BJP on Saturday was heading toward big victory as it surged ahead in 47 seats outclassing the ruling AAP in the Delhi assembly elections.
Arvind Kejriwal’s party was leading in 23 seats. Congress failed to take lead from anywhere in the 70 seats where the election was held on Feb 5 even as the counting of votes was continuing.
Former Chief Minister Kejriwal was defeated in New Delhi seat where he lost to BJP’s Parvesh Verma. Verma was being seen as one of the front runners for the CM post.
Former deputy CM Manish Sisodia also lost from Jangpura constituency.
Most of the exit polls have also predicted big victory for BJP this time.
