After Ravichandra Ashwin, it may be the turn of another cricket legend Virat Kohli to hang up his boots soon.
Speculation arose amid media reports that Kohli, the former Indian captain along with his wife Anushka and kids is planning to settle in London permanently after the India-Australia test series.
Kohli who is struggling with poor form, has already told his family members that he wants to settle permanently in London where he has bought property also.
Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma and children Vamika and Akaay are moving to London soon, the cricketer’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma told media.
Sharma didn’t dwell much on further details but hinted that Kohli would be leaving India and shifting base to the UK, where he eventually plans on spending the rest of his life post-retirement.
Over the last couple of years, Kohli has been spotted in London frequently; in fact, his son Akaay was born there. The couple owns a property in London and will most likely to live there.
The speculation was also fueled when Kohli recently himself spoke about his future plans stating that when his cricket career comes to end he would disappear from public life
Ashwin surprised cricket lovers after he announced his retirement from international cricket immediately after the end of the drawn Perth Test on Wednesday.
I’m curious to see how his fans will react to this news.
