In a shocking remark, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has compared the Congress booth level agents with dogs, the videos of which have gone viral.
Uttarakhand BJP has slammed Kharge for the remarks saying it reflects the Congress party’s ideology. “This is the real ideology of congress party,” BJP Uttarakhand media incharge Manvir Singh Chauhan said.
“When you appoint booth agents, you should think and test them. There is a saying that when someone buys a dog or an animal, he pulls the chain. If the animal barks, it is okay, but if it does not, he does not buy it.
“While selecting the booth agents, you should also ensure that those loyal to you and those who bark and fight for you are appointed. You should appoint such a person who is available all the time. Otherwise they will cast their votes with the help of the officials appointed by them. It is important to focus on this,” Kharge said on Saturday amid cheers by the party workers’ at a convention organised by the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee in New Delhi.
In a recent rally in Dehradun, Kharge has made a political gaffe when he claimed that gas cylinders prices have come down to Rs 110 from Rs 450 during the Modi government rule when he actually wanted to attack the centre on the price rise.
