Effective leadership qualities essential for success: Shiv Khera

Renowned motivational speaker Shiv Kheda on Monday said effective leadership qualities are essential for success. “For this we have to adopt a work culture full of trust, duty and accountability,” Khera said at a workshop in Dehradun organized by the state-run power company UJVN ltd.
He said to be successful in life, one needs constructive approach, excellent leadership abilities, motivation, interpersonal skills, goal setting, communication, life values etc. Khera said that to move ahead and succeed, character and creative thinking are more important than skills.
He also gave examples and explained that to be victorious, we should do extra hard work and make efforts instead of relying on luck. He emphasized that integrity plays an important role for a successful leader.
He also said that to stand out from the crowd one has to do extraordinary work. Besides being at the right place at the right time, he emphasized the need for the right work culture with the right mindset to achieve success. For better and effective communication, he emphasized on simplicity, clarity and gentleness in words. Khera said that instead of blaming our failures on circumstances or other people, we should introspect and improve our shortcomings, only then we can be successful.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary S S Sandhu said in order to succeed in life, it is imperative to gain knowledge also. Secretary Power Dr R Meenakshi Sundaram said such programmes help us to move forward in life in a constructive way.
UJVN Managing Director Dr Sandeep Singhal said this programme has been organized to improve leadership qualities among the government officials in various departments. He said for effective leadership, constructive thinking and credible functioning is very important.
