INTER-SCHOOL STAFF BADMINTION TOURNAMENT HOSTED BY ST. THOMAS’ COLLEGE
The 38 th Inter-School Staff Badminton Tournament for men and women was organized by Dehradun-based St. Thomas’ College with the finals being played on Friday.
This tournament was started in the year 1986 when R. V. Gardner felt the need of getting the staff of various schools to interact with each other as they were busy in their own schools throughout the year and hardly interacted with each other. So, organizing a Badminton Tournament was what he thought of. Perhaps he himself wouldn’t have known at that point in time how popular this tournament would grow over the years and how many schools would look forward to participating in this tournament year after year. St. Thomas’ is the only school in Dehradun that provides such an opportunity to the staff of various schools.
The Chief Guests for the evening was Mrs. Susan Mann, Principal, Carman Residential and Day School, Dalanwala, who graced the occasion by her presence. Ends
