Temperature rises in Doon

After two days of incessant rains in Uttarakhand which brought chill in the weather, the temperature on Sunday shot up in Dehradun and other parts of the hill state considerably.

Barring scattered rains in some parts of the state, the weather remained partly cloudy on Sunday which may continue for one or two more days, met office said. Dehradun on Sunday recorded maximum temperature of 31.4 degree C, an increase of 3.3 notches.

The heavy rains lashed parts of the state during the past two days which left nearly six people dead in rains-related incidents in Kumaon region.

The higher reaches of Garhwal received season’s first snowfall that plummeted temperature sharply in many parts of the state during the past two days.

Meanwhile, the water level in Ganga has started falling after reaching danger level at many places including Rishikesh and Haridwar on Saturday.
