Four Nepalese labourers killed in Uttarakhand landslides

Four Nepalese labourers were killed in landslides following heavy rains in Fata area of Rudrapyrag district in Uttarakhand early on Friday.

On receiving information from the District Control Room Rudraprayag at 0137 hours, an SDRF team immediately rushed to the spot for rescue operation.

On reaching the spot, the SDRF personnel found that due to heavy rains it was not possible for the JCB machines to remove debris. The SDRF jawans themselves started the rescue operation by removing the debris by shovels and hands.

Later, the SDRF personnel managed to pull out four bodies from the debris and handed them over to the district police.

The four labourers have been identified as Tul Bahadur, Purna Nepali, Kishna Parihar and Chiku Bura – all hailing from Nepal.
