A woman was allegedly bludgeoned to death by her son in her Dalanwala house in Dehradun city on Saturday.
The gruesome murder took place in the Judge Colony in the Dalanwala area where the body of Babita (57) was found by her husband Malkhan Singh, who is Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) posted in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
When Singh entered his house in the afternoon, he also saw his son bleeding profusely as he had cut his veins.
Soon the police was informed and Singh’s son Aditya Singh (30) was arrested. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him out of danger. “We have arrested Aditya,” said SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh.
After his repeated phone calls from Moradabad to his wife went unanswered in the morning, Singh immediately rushed to Dehradun sensing some trouble. He forcibly opened the doors of his house only to see his wife lying in a pool of blood. Aditya had repeatedly hammered the head of his mother using a crowbar.
Singh told the police that his son, whose mental condition was not normal, was jobless and had not completed his studies. Aditya used to quarrel with his mother frequently. Ends
