Financial literacy an important step for growth of MSMEs

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India usually face difficulty in accessing financing for their growth.

SIDBI, IAU and the Uttarakhand government have joined hands to provide financial literacy to MSMEs and other important financial skills which are necessary for better management, budgeting and investments.

In this regard, a workshop was conducted on Friday for MSMEs jointly by the IAU, SIDBI and the state government in a hotel in Dehradun.

“We gave all important information regarding financial literacy to the MSMEs,” said IAU President Pankaj Gupta.

SIDBI Deputy General Manager (DGM) Santosh Sinha said through green initiatives MSMEs can manufacture new products and make them attractive in the market.

Anupam Dwivedi Deputy Director of the state department of Industries also provided information about various government initiatives taken so far. Through the new policy, Dwivedi also dwelt in length about new incentives for the growth of the MSMEs. The MSMEs also got information about the tourism policy of the state government.
