PWD engineer who went for trekking died of heart attack

A government engineer who went for trekking in the hills of Dodital in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand has died of heart attack, police said on Monday.

Virendra Chauhan, an Assistant Engineer (AE) with the state PWD department, died immediately after the heart attack in the hills on Sunday. The body of Chauhan, a native of Uttarkashi, was brought by a team of SDRF.

Kanti Nautiyal who was accompanying Chauhan in the trekking at Dodital was also brought back by SDRF.

The body of Chauhan was handed over to the police for postmortem at Uttarkashi town.
