After joining BJP early this year, Jot Singh Bisht’s political aspirations may have grown side by side with his business.

Just like many other leaders, who joined BJP recently, Bisht is also waiting for a right opportunity as his new political idol Prime Minister Narendra Modi won an astonishing third term in the recently concluded general elections.

Along with his political commitments, Bisht has also started focusing on his new herbal tea business which he claims will grow organically despite remaining confined to a 20-30 sq feet room in the posh Race Course colony in Dehradun. “Our business will definitely prosper more in the near future,” said a confident looking Bisht. For the tea business, BIsht along with his son Himmat has already launched Vedavi Herbal Tea. A total of 16 varieties of Vedavi Herbal Tea have already been launched in the market.

Bisht’s main strength in the business is his younger son Himmat who along with his wife Priyanka claims that his research work in the ayurveda gives him immense benefits in his tea business. “We spent at least 2-3 years in herbal tea research work. I hope our knowledge will be a big asset in our herbal tea business,” said the Junior Bisht.

The hallmark of Bisht’s herbal tea is that it brews hot and cold very tastefully with immense benefits, claims Himmat Bisht. For example, he says his Vedavi Devbhoomi herbal tea “helps prevent aging and restores skin glows.”  It also helps in “maintaining the health” of the liver and heart. There are other benefits also. “Anyway our tea is far better than processed CTC tea,” he said. There is also caffeine free Devebhoomi herbal tea that is also in high demand.

Bisht’s company now has made over 105 formlulae of different herbal tea. “So far, we have launched only 16 varieties of tea in the market. But we are in possession of over 105 formulae. As and when our business expands, we will launch more varieties of tea,” said Himmat.

Himmat is looking forward to promoting his tea in different locations, expos and marts. “We are looking forward to marketing our tea in places like Rishikesh and Musoorie where the tourist rush is heavy,” said Himmat. He said he has entered into tie-ups with top hotels and restaurants in Uttarakhand for the promotion and sale of his tea.

Himmat said he is also in talks with the state government to include Vedavi tea in the House of Himalayas for Uttarakhand products which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
