UJVN MD Singhal calls for protecting environment

A tree plantation programme to protect environment was organized at the various power houses, projects and other offices including the headquarters of UJVNL Limited in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, Managing Director Dr. Sandeep Singhal, Director Finance Sudhakar Badoni, Director Operations A.K. Singh, Executive Director Rajendra Singh and Pankaj Kulshrestha, General Managers Vivek Atrey, Ashish Jain, C.P. Dinkar, Executive Engineer Headquarters Rakesh Chauhan along with Dinesh Semwal, Bhupesh Pangtey, Ashok Rana and other officers and employees planted trees in the corporation’s head office Ujjwal.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singhal said there should be special care of the environment when development projects are being implemented. There should also be coordination between the two which is very important for our future, he said.
He appealed all the officials to plant at least two trees and take an oath to protect them till they grow up so that our efforts for environmental conservation can achieve its final goal. He said environment protection is the duty for the present as well as the future generations. Explaining the importance of water conservation and environmental protection along with tree plantation, he said that special efforts should be made to protect these three components to save the mother earth.
Various programs related to tree plantation and environmental protection were also organized in other offices and projects of the UJVN across the state on the occasion of World Environment Day.
