All flights to Ayodhya are booked till Mar 20: Alliance

The Uttarkahand government on Friday claimed all the discounted tickets for the Alliance Air flights to Ayodhya from Dehradun till March 20 were sold out on March 6, the day when Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the inaugural flight.
“All the discounted tickets (from Dehradun to Ayodhya) were sold out on March 6 itself,” said C Ravishankar, the Chief Operating Officer (CEO) Civil Aviation, the government of Uttarkhand.
Ravishankar said the airline is operating flights to Ayodhya from Dehradun thrice a day.
Earlier, a customer care official of the airline on Wednesday had said there will be no flights available for the rest of the month on the route except on March 7. “There is only one seat left for the tomorrow’s (March 7) flight from Dehradun to Ayodhya which will cost Rs 2198 including GST,” said an official of the Alliance Air on Wednesday.
A top state government official on Tuesday had stated that the inaugural flight fare of Rs 7006 for Ayodhya has been slashed by Rs 5000 to Rs 1999 till March 20.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had gone to the Jollygrant Airport Wednesday morning to flag off the inaugural flight of the Alliance Air to Ayodhya, Amritsar and Kashi with top government officials including Chief Secretary Radha Raturi accompanying him.
Besides Ayodhya, the inaugural flight fare for Amritsar and Kashi was also available for Rs 1999 for only two days only on March 6 and 7. But it could not be ascertained how many people took the benefit of the government’s airline scheme.
Uttarakhand has claimed that it started flights from Dehradun to all the three religious centres from Wednesday. But inquiries revealed that there are no regular flights. Flight to these cities will be available as per the demand, an official of the airport said.
However, many customers like Vinod Sharma who tried to contact the Alliance Air on the discounted tickets were also given the same reply that the flights are booked till March 20.
When contacted Alliance Air, they told there is no tickets till 22nd March 2024. The ticket on 22nd March will cost Rs 7165/-. Alliance Air staff was not clear about the status of flights from Dehradun to Ayodhya.
